Harbottle & Jonas Trio
TBHB x TBBC | Session #1
combining a love of the richness of traditional folk with their own original and powerful songwriting

Partners in life and music, dynamic Devon based folk duo Harbottle & Jonas are one of the most exciting acts on the UK circuit today, combining a love of the richness of traditional folk with their own original and powerful songwriting. Dave and Freya have developed a distinct and compelling signature sound, blending concertina, harmonium, banjo, stomp box, acoustic guitar and cittern with their beautiful and closely intertwined vocal harmonies. On ‘The Beacon’ (single and album), and often at live gigs, the duo become a trio, joined by fiddle player Annie Baylis, weaving a third close vocal harmony and sensitive playing.

The Black Bird Collective

The Barrel House Ballroom and The Black Bird Collective, through Arts Council funding, have curated this series of 8 video sessions.

Anyone who has attended the Black Bird Open mic nights knows that Christian Murison brings so many great artists out of the woodwork and into the warm setting of The Totnes Brew Co.

With this mind we have created something that feels in keeping to the open mic, a series of video sessions showcasing a diverse and eclectic mix of local talent.
