Rambunctious is back and we’re coming back LARGE!

We are so excited to be back with our first gig for nearly two years and this time we are bringing friends in a new and fresh Rambunctious series in celebration of Music, Carnival and Tropicalia.

Introducing the ‘ACID MAMBO’ Sessions, with LIVE special Rambunctious guests, incorporating and introducing new and established bands and music that represent the eclectic and lively tastes of Rambunctious, within an ever-growing decor of set-design and projections in line with the infamous immersive experience of Rambunctious and the famous Mexican ball.

We are very proud to continue our now 11-year residency at the fabulous Barrel House Ballroom with these sessions and the forthcoming Mexican Ball.

Introducing our first Guests! LOS GUSANOS!

Los Gusanos are, as many tend to put it: “A Latin band with a punk attitude”. Incorporating heavy Colombian and Brazilian influences; their live shows are energetic and virtuosic; and have been likened to watching “a Hendrix jam at a Latin dive-bar”.

In June 2018 Los Gusanos collaborated with a small Bristol label Tapedown Records, to release their debut single “Champeta”. This was followed by a European tour and a residency at the prestigious Troubadour, in Earl’s Court.

In January 2019 they released their second single “Monschau”. Accompanying tour dates include London Jazz Fest, Cheltenham Jazz Fest, Rumpus London, Tropical Pressure and Movimientos (Hootenanny’s Brixton).

2020 saw the release of their second single ‘Tatacoa’, with the band preparing to record their debut full-length album in summer 2021.

And, of course, your hosts…

Rambunctious has firmly established itself as a leading club/arts night for over 11 years, Those familiar with Rambunctious have delighted in the distinct sound that Griff and Lee pump out, a footloose fusion of Cumbia, Latin, world beats, Tropical bass or whatever else that gets thrown into the mix, this adventurous explosion of styles has given Rambunctious a unique sound. Lee’s signature visual style and playful approach has made Rambunctious instantly recognisable with an interactive synthesis of sound and vision.

Please make sure you display a negative Covid result upon entry, tests should be carried out on the day of the event. Please don’t come if you have Covid symptoms.

“Hailing from Dartmoor, these Moorland rural folk have managed to create one of the best Tropical Mash up events and music this country has probably ever seen, as well as incredible artworks. Get ready to party!”
